When someone has died, their family rarely wants to spend the week closing accounts. Family Cleanup is the service that does it: we close the accounts, memorialise the profiles, cancel the subscriptions and hand the executor a one-page report. It is part of the Executor Kit plan and quoted per estate after a short call; nothing is charged from the form.

Requesting a cleanup

The Request a cleanup panel asks for: Request cleanup submits it. We call within one business day to confirm scope and quote. While a request is open the form is disabled and the button reads A request is already open; a request that has not yet been started can be withdrawn with Cancel request.

Following the case

Once our team opens the case, more panels appear under the request: Reference shows the case number (SML-2026-0003, for example), its status, how many accounts are handled out of the total, and when it was opened, started and completed. We need something from you appears only when we have asked for a document: a death certificate, proof of relationship, probate. Each row has an Upload button; PDF and common image formats are accepted. If a copy is not usable we send it back with a reason and the row asks for another. Accounts lists each provider with the outcome we are working towards, the current step, and a status: Documents you have sent shows each upload as Being checked or Accepted. Updates is the timeline: everything our operators chose to show you, dated.
You see account-level progress, the documents we asked for and the timeline. Operator notes, the internal steps and anything sent on your behalf stay inside the case.

For practices

An estate lawyer can refer a family for Family Cleanup from their Practice tools instead; the request lands in the same queue and the practice sees our status on it.
